Consistency in eating healthy

If you want to start with getting a healthy dietary change and also reduce weight, it’s extremely important to do this slowly and involving it into your present lifestyle. Here I share my experience on how to start eating healthy and how to consistently eat healthy. 

Most of my clients say that being a mother/father and having a family, it’s difficult to start easily with changing routine. But it’s not. It’s really easy to start eating healthy.

Preparing the meal with the kids and showing them how good vegetables and fruits taste is very important. They automatically bear a healthy relation to food. And that’s very important nowadays. My single clients have no problems with starting it and for both single and family, there is an easy way to start with.

The easiest way is making some rituals in the morning like making a glass of water with a slice of a fresh lemon.

Also preparing a snack box with fruits and vegetables can make it easy for you to avoid buying rubbish or sweets. And you can prepare it also in the evening, put it in the fridge and taking it with you to work/school or university. It will help you eat healthy consistently.

I also love Chia Seeds. I put it in detox water and take it with me, wherever I go. Mostly I don’t have time to eat when everyone has dinner or lunch. So, I take chia seed detox water with me in case of getting hungry. Chia seed detox water is a really good weight loss drink and I really recommend it. It helps to improve your blood sugar levels and boost your energy levels. Chia Seeds are great for the heart, improves dental health, increases brain power, build and lean strong muscles and they help to burn fat. They are rich in fiber and prebiotics. You can add them also in your porridge, in cakes, muffins and shakes.

I also recommend drinking a glass of water before starting to eat a meal as part of how to eat healthy consistently. A small salad is one of the most thing what my clients have to change first in their eating style.

And yes, they can eat everything what they like. It depends on the amount how much you eat. If your colleague brought a birthday cake or some donuts, it’s ok and also welcome to say “Yes, I take a piece of ….” And not “Oh, I can’t I’m on a diet.” Or what I often hear: “Is this cake Ketogenic?”. It’s making the person who brought it with feel bad and actually this person wanted to do something nice. So please take a piece!

And have this in mind: YOU CAN EAT EVERYTHING!

If you start with weight loss you also have to think about to eat every meal. Don’t skip one! You have to eat, if you want to lose weight.

I often hear that my clients skip meals and then they are wondering why they gain weight. Eating is very important for your stomach. It’s like a motor in your car. If you don’t put gasoline in it, it won’t work. Food is important for the muscles, the brain, the skin, the bones, the nervous system… and without it you can’t do what you want to do. Also you will not concentrate at work.

You have to eat the right thing and your motor is going to work. Sometimes longer, sometimes shorter – it depends what you are doing and what you are eating. You need to understand how to start eating healthy and be consistent with eating healthy.

And yes, you have to do some sports. I’m not going to tell you what you have to do. You know yourself what kind of sport you like. Just do it.

In my client’s case, they love to swim or doing water gymnastic. Most of them are doing Hula Hoop and I mean the heavy one. You have to find something what makes you happy and what you can do every day, at least 3-4 times a week. But yes, doing 30 minutes a day for your body is a good start even if it’s just going for a walk.

Relaxing is also a part what you shouldn’t ignore. Take a little time in the morning to stretch and breath and just think of you. I know that’s very hard for families. But you have to do this. Concentrate on your breath and try meditating. Don’t think of the To-Do-List for today. Just breath in and out.

So here I have given you few simple tips on how to start eating healthy and how to consistently eat healthy and adopt a healthy lifestyle that you can incorporate in your daily routine easily.
